CARING FOR OUR WATERSHEDS: Australia is open to classes 7 to 10 who attend secondary schools in the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority and Wimmera Catchment Management Authority areas.
Students are invited to submit proposals that answer the question:
What can you do to improve your catchment?
- Students will compete for over $6,000
- Participating schools and clubs are eligible for over $11,000
- Students who implement their ideas are eligible for $10,000

2013 Winner's Announced:
A big thank you to all of the students, teachers and volunteers involved in Australia’s first ever, Caring for our Watersheds competition. All entries were initially judged to produce the top 10 finalists whom competed in a verbal competition on Friday 25 October at Little Desert Nature Lodge.
The ‘Lake Liberators’, Phoebe Allen, Jordon Smith and Mitch Haustorfer from Goroke P12 College placed first for their idea of an information session for farmers in the region to help with over spraying. See full results here.
