CARING FOR OUR WATERSHEDS: Ontario is open to Grades 7 to 9 students who live in the Lower Trent Watershed and attend school in the Campbellford - Brighton area.
Students are asked to submit proposals that answer the question:
“What can you do to improve your watershed?"
Students will compete for $4,500 in rewards
- Participating schools are eligible for nearly $5,500 in rewards
- Students who implement their ideas are eligible for additional funding

The $1,000 first place prize was awarded to Tyler Brown from East Northumberland Secondary School for his idea to place dog waste bag dispensers with biodegradable bags in convenient public locations to encourage dog owners to pick up dog waste and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.Check out the top finalists here.
