CARING FOR OUR WATERSHEDS: Saskatchewan is open to students who live in the Saskatchewan borders within the South Saskatchewan River Basin.
Students are asked to submit proposals that answer the question:
“What can you do to improve your watershed?"
- Students will compete for $6,000 in rewards
- Participating schools are eligible for $11,000 in rewards
- Students who implement their ideas are eligible for additional funding
2011 Winners Announced
Thank you to all of the students who participated in this contest. Nearly 140 entries were received!
The first place $1,000 idea was from Courtney Cheshuk and Beckett Stark who attend St. Edward School in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Their idea was Vermi Wormy Composting – an idea to bring vermiculture to all of the elementary schools in the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division.
